WATCH KIDZ started as What About The Children in Haiti in 2008. We partnered up with local orphanages and schools in Haiti and provided them with their essential needs. Recently our founder has decided to take another route in helping the children in Haiti and the goal now is to open a community center in Haiti where both the children and adults in the community can benefit from it.
Imagine a place children can go to grow and learn. A place they can develop character, academic success and career preparation. A place where they can learn how to be productive citizens of society. Learn culinary skills, fine arts and recreation. A place that not only benefits the children but also offers programs that benefits their parents. A safe haven that teaches leadership skills, offers mentor services and hands on community support. Now imagine this place in Haiti and right here at home. That is why What About The Children at Home was started in 2015.
Through this organization we plan to reach out to the youth of the community. We will provide programs and services that promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. Our hope is to empower the youth and provide a chance to improve their chances for a better future.
The term WATCH KIDZ is used to describe both What About The Children in Haiti and What About The Children at Home.
